Then you have come to the right place! We supply online and bricks and mortar stores and review each new stockist request carefully to ensure we work with retailers that align with our values. We do not sell to retailers who sell on Amazon and other online marketplaces.
Le Papillon Vert has an established reputation for offering slow, artisan made basket bags that have both rustic charm and excellent longevity. Each basket is designed with the traditional French chic style at the forefront, with versatility and strength at the core.We work with Moroccan artisans who pick and dry date palm leaves, make plaits and stitch the basket shapes.
Literally each basket is different and unique. The leather work is done at a small family-owned workshop just outside Marrakesh, and generally local ladies stitch the handles etc., again to supplement income for their households. It is an important and very traditional industry in this region. Le Papillon Vert uses minimal packaging, re-using cardboard boxes whenever we can.
